The Nor-Fishing Foundation establishes its own administration and will hire a Managing Director
There is a great and growing international interest in both Nor-Fishing and Aqua Nor. At the same time, the fisheries and aquaculture industries, as well as the environment in which they operate, are subject to rapid change.
The Board of Directors of the Nor-Fishing Foundation has therefore decided to establish its own administration which will be able to fully focus on the further development of the exhibitions and secure that these for a will remain important meeting places also in the future.
For many years, the Nor-Fishing Foundation has had a close cooperation with Trondheim Spektrum AS, which owns the exhibition halls where the events are held, and which has served as secretariat for the Foundation. This cooperation has functioned well and the Foundation will depend on the administrative services of Trondheim Spektrum in connection with the planning and implementation of Aqua Nor 2019.
The position as Managing Director of the Nor-Fishing Foundation has now been announced. It is planned that the administration will include just a few persons. The CEO will have the overall responsibility for the operations of the Foundation and will report to the Board of Directors.
The most important short-term challenges will include the establishment of a new organizational model for the Nor-Fishing and Aqua Nor exhibitions, and in the longer term the strategic development of the exhibition concept in line with the needs of the Norwegian and international fisheries and aquaculture industries.
